Overview
dotNSF Tools: IBM introduced a proprietary method a few years ago that allows users to sign on a Domino or WebSphere server and navigate to other Domino or WebSphere servers without resubmitting their password. The user's authentication credentials are secured through encryption and stored as a proprietary, session-based cookie called a Lightweight Third Party Authentication (LTPA) token. This single sign-on (SSO) scheme is fine if your organisation has only Domino and WebSphere servers, but if you try to integrate Microsoft IIS servers, users normally will have to re-authenticate themselves.
