Penumbra is a select group of IBM Business Partners who pool technical resources and management skills to create an ideal IBM Software provider network. We offer the competence and breadth of much larger companies at a lower cost. In addition, they deliver the full attention of their principal developers to each project.

Currently over 25 Penumbra member companies worldwide provide a full range of IBM Lotus Software services to hundreds of clients holding over 1 Million licenses in Notes/Domino, Lotus Quickr & QuickPlace, Lotus Sametime, WebSphere Portal. Domestic and international clients range from government agencies to health care, finance, insurance, high tech, law and many more.

A Noteworthy Commitment

Most Penumbra members dedicate all of their time and resources exclusively to IBM Software, notably IBM Lotus Notes/Domino, Lotus Connections, IBM WebSphere. Many have been early and serious participants in the IBM Lotus Notes and Portal evolution. Most have been involved with Lotus Notes since 1992 and some even before 1990. Our members have also been there for the birth of new IBM Lotus products as Lotus QuickPlace, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Conferencing, and WebSphere Portal. Many share their expertise by speaking at conferences and writing articles. While experience is vital, qualifications say something important. Within the Penumbra Group are holders of every IBM Lotus-related certification. In addition several Penumbra member companies are recipients of Lotus/Beacon Awards, and Penumbra itself was a runner up for a Beacon Award in 1997.
